Fine Silver Pendant / Abalone Shell Inlay / Surfboard
Item 2426-P. Dimensions: 14.6mm wide x 55.7mm long (including top-most loop of pendant bail), see scale photo for conversion to inches. This is the exact pendant you will receive; it is one-of-a-kind. It is a slightly larger version with more inlay compared to narrower-cut surfboards in some of my other listings.
Technique: I hand-form fine silver (999) jewelry using texturing objects and other designer touches on both sides of the piece. Please see the video for a 360° view. This pendant is fired to ~1300°F. I added an inlay of abalone shell, protected with a UV resin to add extra sparkle and shimmer. The bail is formed with Argentium (935) silver wire, highlighted with a metallic silver-finish Czech glass accent bead.
I like to add a patina finish to show off the texturing. Purer than sterling silver, fine silver rarely needs polishing.
